Lupins made me shout.

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Walking back from hoeing the trench for two rows of potatoes (more on that later) I suddenly saw the first lupin in bloom. Out of the blue, it was quite a shock. Anyone watching would have wondered what was going on as I exclaimed, “Oh!” in surprise.

Sunflowers

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Yesterday I planted Sunflowers on the strip we had Jim till along the edge of the meadow bordering the road. 1 packet of Mammoth Grey Stripe, two packets of Sunflower Sampler and a packet of Goldfinger Mexican Sunflower.

We got a little rain, but not much at all. Some more would be nice. Oh, and the grass needs cutting. What a surprise.
