Tomatoes

Filed under: Tomatoes — hugo @ 5:29 am

Yesterday, in the 6th row on the right side I planted Perennial Favorite’s six pack of Tomato All-Stars (Sun Gold Cherry, Early Girl, Cosmonaut Volkov, Jet Star, Bellstar, Beefmaster). In the row above that I put in another row of the paste tomatoes mentioned below. In both of these rows I also planted a basil plant for each tomato.

There was room for two more in each of these two rows; in the first I put two Brandywine and in the second paste row I put another Brandywine and a Rose de Berne.

Moving more lettuce, planting tomatoes.

Yesterday I prepared two more beds and put tomatoes and basil in one bed, and lettuce transplants from the cold frames into another.

The tomatoes were a six pack of paste tomatoes -Bellstar, Orange Banana, Amish Paste, Roma, Grandma Mary’s Paste, and Heinz 2653. There was room at the end of the row for two more so I put in two Rose de Berne .

In the next bed I transplanted three lettuce varieties from the cold frames: Blushed Butter Cos, Really Red Deer Tongue Gene-Pool Lettuce OG, and Les Orielles du Diable OG (Devil’s Ear) Lettuce OG
